NAL Value Added Services Team (VAST) is committed to providing each of our customers the highest level of real time information. Our motto is “Our Customer Should Never Need to Ask Us a Question”. It is our commitment to provide the necessary reports for our customers to run their businesses efficiently.

VAST Services include:

Track- Trace

We believe that freight visibility is the most important function in logistics. VAST tracks ALL freight moving daily.  A track and trace report is generated by location to include ship date, origin, destination, carrier assignment and ETA and is available on www.leadingedgelogistics.com.  NAL physically tracks each movement to ensure it is moving as planned to meet the transit timing or requirement if specified Shipment Tracking is the main customer web based tool.  

Claims Management

Leading Edge Logistics manages all claims for our customers. We provide weekly status reports of all claims to key stakeholders.  Should we determine that repetitive damage is occurring, NAL will schedule site visits with carrier and customer representatives to provide training on the care and custody of your freight and design a SOP for same.

Our success rate for damaged freight recovery is 99.4%. However, more importantly, our ratio of claims to shipments is less than .001%.  This is due to two major factors.    

First, prior to implementation we review with our carrier base the methods by which freight will ship as well as the expectation of service for our customer. We review any dynamics, packaging methods and provide and SOP for each shipping location. Second, within our service commitment, NAL tracks and traces 100% of the shipments we manage. This pro-active approach to shipment management enables us to avoid potential delivery failures associated to lost or damaged freight. 

We have a documented Claims Process that we employ to ensure that all claims are managed properly and have a dedicated Claims Manager on staff.

Customized Reports

NAL reporting capabilities are customized to meet our clients’ needs. At the outset of our implementation, we will discuss the type of reporting you may require; in addition to the timing and delivery methods desired. Ad hoc reporting requests, depending on the level of analysis required, can typically be turned back to client within 24-72 hours Quarterly reviews are generated showing freight volumes inbound and outbound in a number of formats. Most typically supplied is cost by mode analyses as well as savings associated to shipments from the benchmark data provided.
